PERSONALITY SECTION GOES HERE
SPELLCASTING. The most common ability a witch has, spells usually require a ritual action, a set of words or verses or a combination of any to cast magic and can be simple or complex. Davina has shown proficiency in casting a variety of spells and is just naturally good at magic, ranging from protection spells to cloaking spells to pain infliction spells to simple spells like picking up water from the ground and into a bottle, and is considered talented enough to combine and interweave different spells or even create a spell to counteract another. PYROKINESIS. Tied to her spellcasting, as the Harvest Witch of Fire, Davina's more comfortable with manipulating fire at will. This includes conjuring fire and extinguishing fire using her mind or certain spells. She can also affect temperature, causing heat to rise within a certain object or body (i.e. increasing a person's temperature, making their blood boil). TELEKINESIS. Telekinesis allows Davina to move objects with her mind through her force of will, which she commonly uses to throw people across the room (or just away from her in general), hold them down, snap their necks to incapacitate them (for creatures who are immortal or capable of self-healing) or change the music on a radio. CHANNELING. An ability of witches to draw power from nature, an element or a fellow magic user or witch (or supernatural creature) to boost their own magic. In canon, witches can draw energy even from celestial events such as the sunrise, new moon or eclipses or bind their spells to (i.e. an imprisonment spell that only breaks once the moon sets, a reversal of the werewolf curse). Channeling another magic user or witch's power, however, may allow her to see their memories. KEMIYA. A form of magic that allows the user to change the elemental foundation of an object and imbuing it with magic. This ability allows Davina to create or turn random items into objects with supernatural properties, which non-magic users can utilise. This ability requires a large amount of magic, however, and Davina won't be able to create one on her own. DARK MAGIC. After Davina was shunned by her coven in canon, she was invited to join another coven, the Sisters, that practiced Dark Magic, a form of witchcraft that deliberately cause harm to a person in some way or twist the balance of nature. This magic allows them to resurrect the dead, break vampire sirelines, turn mortals into immortals and infiltrate a person's mind and memories without their consent. Dark magic usually requires blood sacrifice and a large amount of energy to perform and its consequences include corruption of magic and the physical body. You may see a comprehensive list of spells she has access to here with a note if it's nerfed or not. While in canon Davina will take what she wants when she wants it, in game I'll be initially playing her with a bit more discretion in terms of her magic in hopes to generate unique relations and opportunities. What this means is simply using tiny spells, usually things that she can hide behind a handwave or by staring at it. Let me know if Davina can do any of the below in particular to your character. A yes/no would suffice, no details needed unless necessary. Can Davina track/locate your character if they go AWOL? Davina can cast spells where she'll receive a vision of the object or a person's location using an item that belongs to them or their blood, unless that person or object is blocked by a cloaking spell. She normally won't do this unless someone asks of her or someone she's close to disappears. Note that she won't cast spells on your character unless it's life-or-death or necessary. She may also try to cast the spell towards the individual in the thread, but the decision to be affected by it ultimately lies on the player. While she's very comfortable with using her magic, I'd love to play with circumstances that would lead to accidental magic shenanigans (she has a short temper, so). If you decide to opt out here or on the thread itself, I'm happy to adjust or have her do something else. We can hash things out further once plot or CR opportunities come up.
